Dempsey in 1, left hook from hell makes sure Patterson doesn't get up for a while

 

Patterson KO4. His tight defense and superior athleticism win the day over Dempsey's leaky defense and overrated speed.

Floyd would be, by far, the most talented heavyweight Dempsey ever faced. Again, remember, Dempsey drew the Color Line due to his PTSD after the John Lester Johnson affair, a condition further evidenced by his treatment of Wills and a decrepit Jeanette.

 

I like Floyd in more match ups than most,, but I'd take Jack over him. If Ingo can torch Floyd , son can Jack Dempsey.

 

Dempsey by destruction!The guy who picked Patterson is crazy!Dempsey hits harder,better chin,better fighter,better reach...he was a destroyer who liked to fight in a phoneboot!
While Frazier was more dangerous later Dempsey was force in first 5 rounds that could defeat almost anyone in a perfect night!I only favor Marciano,Ali and Foreman above him!
When he start to rool,bob,weave....maaaaan!When he started his attack is like watching bull throw lion around when he is angry!
Dempsey is faster starter than Liston!This scenario would end inside of 3 or even maybe sooner!Willard Fight Dempsey 1st round but Tunney maybe 3-5!Patterson would not know what hit him!Dempsey is a killer and I see scared Patterson when Kid Blackie looks him in eyes!I smell Liston scenario!

 

That's ridiculous. Lewis, Holyfield, Holmes and Liston are awful for him. Not to mention, guys who are just better. Eg. Tyson, Frazier, Bowe, Vitali, Wlad ect; ect.

 

Liston?Man was outpointed by Machen whom Ingo knocked in 1st and lost to LHW bum?Dempsey would go crazy on him in ring and Liston would be down several tomes before he quit!DeJohn and Whitterhurst are not Dempsey!Frazier was good but poor version of Marciano!Bowe ducked Lewis and was kicked by Golota!Vitali??Chris Byrd kicked his ass and make two nosses on his face!Tyson lost to bums which Dempsey never did!
I understand you hate Jack but be honest!No one of huys you mentioned would survive 3 rounds of destruction and mauling !

 

Not a mismatch at all imo. And I don't see Jack blasting him out in the first. Patterson s hand speed gets him the first couple of rounds, his fast hooks finding Dempsey s jaw. But, Floyd s facing a killer heavyweight, one that makes Ingo look like a light hitting featherweight. By round 3,Jacks attacks to the head and body are making Floyd winch in pain. A lightning fast right, from Dempsey to the jaw, has Patterson down. Floyd, of course, rises but immediately gets put down again. Another Kd and Patterson is saved by the ref.

 

I love Floyd and think he is very underrated but Dempsey is a horrible stylistic matchup for him. I'd be surprised if it went past 3 tbh. I give him a much better chance against Marciano.

 

Christ, have a bit of objectivity about you. Liston wasn't outpointed by Machen at all, he hardly lost two rounds to Machen. Ingo is the ONLY person to ice Machen like that, and it's a clearly an anomaly. Liston's jab would knock Dempsey off his feet... Whenever Dempsey gets close he'd get bare hugged and pushed, and uppercutted when he dipped.

Frazier was definitely better than Marciano. He was quicker, bigger, just as strong and well conditioned, more accurate, more skilled, just as tough with a better defence. He'd mince Dempsey.

Vitali didn't get his ass kicked by Byrd. We both know it. Dempsey wins that one imo too, but in 3? You're ****ing mental pal

Willie Meehan isn't a bum? How about Jack Downey? Dempsey did lose to bums. Also, Dempsey loses to Douglas, Lewis and Holyfield.

I don't hate Jack, I'm just realistic. If you think Holmes and Vitali are stopped in three you need to have a word.

 

Liston beat Machen.

 

Anomaly?Guy taked his head off clean and that is not anomaly that is what KO really is!Liston beat Machen?Where?I saw Machen countering him and make him miss!Liston jab is not like Tunney which is much stickier and faster and still ole' Jack gave him helluva fight!Jack had insane headmovement and his roll would go under his uppercuts and jabs and countering him with hard left or right cros and not stopping on himwhile Liston would be stopped after 3rd knockdown!
Frazier better??He was same size,not strong as Rocky,was good conditioned but not Marciano,used only left hook,weaker chin...Fraziet fought wide open and his defence is only good against Ali who fought backwards!Marciano fought crouch which is much safer and better and was stronger than Bonavena who pushed Frazier!Bonavena neutralized Frazier and he was not Rocky!Foreman would have much bigger problem landing uppercut when Rocky is crouching while Frazier is bobing and weaving!
Rocky was defo stronger!Frazier used only left hook while Marciano had equal left hook while he had thunder right hand and upercut which Frazier didn't have!Marciano is stronger than Bonavena and harder puncher and we all know that Bonavena pushed Joe!
Vitali didn't has his ass handled by Byrd???Are you joking!Byrd hurts him with bodyshots and chest punches and split his nose!
You mentioned first Dempsey fights knowing that he didn't have amateur experience!He didn't loss when he was in his eldery fight days!He beat Jack Sharkey and gave Tunney hell while he was past prime!He didn't lose to Kevin McBride!

 

I have Floyd in this one. Speed kills in boxing and Floyd had it in spades.
