thanks for the reply. This is an interesting one as there are so many different takes. "I don't believe the left hook was a KO blow." Interesting. "I don't think Sharkey would have been grabbing his private parts had it been." Wouldn't this possibly be an instinctive, subconscious reaction to sharp pain in the groin. Isn't that the most likely answer. Even in a fog from a punch, you're body might react to pain. Like a man down from a shot might grab the wound without thinking about it. One thing which occurs to me. If Sharkey was faking, he kept faking despite the referee counting him out. One would think even if he went into an act to elicit a DQ, he would have thought better of it when hearing "five" "six" "seven" and on up.
That does sound reasonable maybe the pain was delayed but it looks to me like - he turns his head to complain, steps back to create space because of the alleged foul, in the split second before the Hook lifts him up. He could be genuinely in pain or he could be trying to sell it. Riddick Bowe in first Golota fight looked to me as someone trying to sell the DQ while on the ground, in a fight that wasn’t going exactly how he wanted it. Each fight is unique. All I’m saying is - Sharkey looks at ref, steps back, complains, gets hit and goes down. Then clutches the low blow area. It certainly could be a delay in that area - to the pain. It Does happen. And he does look in pain. I’m not denying any of that. I’m just throwing my theory out there - that once the hook dropped him, perhaps in heat of moment - he said let me stay down I can get Dempsey dq’d here. He hit me low, and then tagged me as I complained. Sharkey made a few in the ring miscalculations in his career and was very emotional. A muddy ending
Speaking of blessings, I think I've kind of been one to you for a while Klompton. We butted heads a few times early on, and of course I didn't have much experience talking to you, and certainly have less than many on this forum, but I was far more gracious to you despite your **** than most, and look, I post six threads in one night, and you've get stuff to criticize for three of those goddamn threads! Truth is, that's all you care to do, is criticize. You don't like to correct or disagree with people in a respectful way at all. You try to upstage everyone, correcting them all the while trying to be as obnoxious a ******* as you know how. When I first joined the forum you were on my tail quite a bit. I don't know what you would do if I hadn't joined. You'd have none of your ****ing impressive knowledge to wave in front of everybody's faces.
Speak for yourself. Nearly everyone on the forum I know hates your ****in' guts. So you're probably laughing at he grant's "asinine observations" by yourself. Now who looks asisine? The fact that you get furious with people disagreeing with you on matters of opinion, rather than fact proves what a narcissistic jerk you really are.
But Im a last word hog. Lol. You and Spesh are two peas in a pod. Self styled experts with zero to show for it. Rock on with that Mr. “Historian” Mr. “Filmmaker” Mr. “Successful businessman” lol. Always good for laugh.
I agree with Klompton's assessment of the fight and see it the way he sees it. But it's really unfortunate that he took such an aggressive and unfriendly approach to expressing his disagreement with young William, and it's unfortunate that this devolved into some kind of petty flamefest. Can't we all just get along??
Yeah, ik you're right, he's just got under my collar so many times and I've never said anything about it. Glad that u disagree w/ me without making me feel like a pissant. To answer the question though, yes, many of us can get along. I haven't been in this thread, but I can. However, (and I'm not saying this just to get in another rude comment), but Klompton can't get along with anybody on the forum.
