I'm sure this has been debated before, but I think this is a cracking fight to ponder with the recent Frazier and Dempsey threads.

Is Joe out of his depth or does he have a great chance of pulling off an upset. Would it even BE an upset?

I reckon Joe would steamroll him like he did Foster although Dempsey could drop him early on.

Dempsey within five rounds. Nobody started faster than Dempsey and Joe was a notoriously slow starter.

Dempsey, though I'd be rooting for Frazier to prove me wrong and I wouldn't be to surprised if he did.

I'll go with the far more proven Frazier.

I think that is his only hope Mac, tbh. The longer it goes the more I'd have to favour Joe.

Dempsey, possibly early. Best guess, inside 6 rounds. And he would need to get the job done early. If Frazier caught his second wind or wasn't damaged badly in the early rounds I think he could win later as he was very busy and tended to gain momentum later in its due to his superior work rate and heart.

Dempsey. No size different. Two fighter will coming forward. War. Toe to toe. I pick Dempsey.. dempsey early to mid..
Late frazier have the edge.. more dangerous.

Dempsey gets hammered. Its doesn't go three rounds. He weighed 180.

Im not sure he would beat Foster.

Dempsey ducked all the best black fighters for a reason.

I think he ducked Frazier because he was about 80 years old:think

Dempsey early, probably in two rounds. No contest, IMO.
