OK, how about this? Most boxing "experts" consider Dempsey one of the all time greats. As far as my Grandfather, he was a professional fighter himself. His brother was one of the top amateur middle weights in the country so they just might have known a thing or two about what constitutes a great fighter. Ruiz on the other hand isn't even good in the weak era of boxing we have today. Who cares if he has a reach and size advantage. A hard hitting 190 pounder can KO anybody. And Dempsey hit hard and he hit you a lot. Anytime Ruiz attempted his lame grab, Dempsey would shake him off and break Ruiz's face.
