Cool to call Moore geriatric, but he was far better puncher and fighter at HW than Jones.

Moore was a great puncher, no doubt. But his reflexes and timing were not prime at 40. Sorry, just not possible.

Jones was still a helluva puncher, lightning fast and concussive at "175"... which means 190.

Moore was a great puncher who didn't have Jones reflex, but he had more experience and better ability to set up his punches. Marciano dominated him outside of short shaky moments. I hate to say that because I'm Moore fan, but that's the truth.

If Moore fight is your sword here, then you don't get much out of it. Marciano broke down Moore like he was nothing, even though Moore catched him much more than once. Jones would definitely find Rocky chin quite a few times, but what would it change? Rocky wouldn't stop coming and he wouldn't try to outbox Jones. He was too strong, too powerful and too relentless for Roy.

Moore is not my sword other than to expose Marciano's chin as vastly, vastly overrated. He could be caught quite easily, dropped by non-elite heavy punchers and old Walcott actually had him swimming backwards and ready to go in the 11th, not only from sharp hooks to the head but deep digs to the body. Marciano was always just a small brawler who was oft off balance, squared up and spent after his attacks.

If Moore is not elite puncher to you, then I don't know what to say...

Jesus is it for real? You have people here debating if ****ing glass chin jones would beat Rocky Marciano lmao. One thing is saying that monsters like Foreman, lewis or Tyson would be too much for Rocky but saying that a fragile 168 pounder would beat a beast like marciano is laughable

On paper, I think Lewis actually has one of the thinnest resumes to be found among undoubtedly great fighters. Tucker was pushing forty; he barely beat Mercer who was thoroughly schooled by middle aged Holmes; Briggs got a gift decision against 48 year old Foreman and had Lewis in trouble early (if fleetingly), which he never came close to doing with Foreman; Tyson was beyond shot; Holyfield was at about 80%; Rahman of course KO'd him in the first fight.

His most impressive performances to me are how he ****ing poleaxed Grant, Golata, and Ruddock with little if any visible effort, and beat Vitaly - legitimately - while probably out of shape and certainly far past his prime.

Lewis beat everyone he faced. His resume is deep and more than solid.
