Jack Dempsey vs Riddick Bowe

So the battle lines are drawn!

 

Dempsey never saw anything like Bowe, on the other hand Bert Cooper was kinda similar in fighting style to Dempsey and Bowe annihilated him in one round basically.

Bert Cooper further removed from Dempsey, than Bowe was from what Dempsey fought, and made short work of!

Dempsey was more proven on world level and beat more fighters in the top ten hell of a puncher
He knocked out a big fighter similar to Bowe inside a round !

I can't bet against Bowe, but if he tried to keep the fight at distance and box Demosey, he might be in for a nasty surprise. I don't doubt Dempsey had the speed, delivery and power to knockout Bowe if he was to catch him with his very best shots, but it's hard not to side with the bigger guy here. My guess is that as soon as Bowe feels Dempsey's power he switches his game up and bombs Dempsey out before the 3rd or 4th, but might get a bit shaken up his route to victory.

 

Bert cooper was not even similar to dempsey

 

Head to head has to be reflected in achievement.

If a fighter can't build up a resume, then they likely aren't all that head to head!

kinda. come forward swarmers, both could not box of the back foot. cooper was stronger than Dempsey, possibly hit harder and had a better chin too

If Dempsey could be pumped up a bit like Bellew vs Haye he might do the damage.

 

I'd have to go Bowe. It would be an interesting battle inside.
