they were without doubt the best of their own times. I dont think there is room for two guys like that at the same time. both took the desire to win to an insane level, beyond what is normal. frazier was the same mindset, can you imagine two fraziers at the same time with less compasionate refarees and cornermen? dempsey had more fights, fought with smaller gloves and hurt all the guys he fought. when the stakes were high he gave it evrything, only a gun would stop him and marciano was the same. both had good jaws, two handed power, heaps of stamina and underated ring sence. its not what they brought to the table skill or size wise its mindset. I lean toward marciano only beacuse he knew beter the extent of his capabilitys and knew when to retire, this shows that to make sound judgment like that he was also capable of making superior judgement in the heat of batle so it must count for more. BUT ITS RAZOR THIN.
I just watched some of Dempsey's fights again, in slow mo. They have reaffirmed my belief that he would win.
Which Dempsey fights Princess? Try and stretch your limited game by being specific. Who said Tyson's jab was underated ? No one Princess. They said it was underused. Of course you would not know that would you ?
This is one fantasy fight where I am glad that it never happened because it would probably have ended like Benn McClellan one way or another. I think that Dempsey would have won and it would not have been a prety sight. Dempsey would have had enough finesse to his brutality to get the better of the early exchnges. The train that got off the mark first would have won the trainwreck but not without getting wrecked itself.
This scenario is getting beaten into the dirt like a dead horse....... I still say a peak Joseph Frazier of 1968 to 1972 hammers both "Dempsey and Marciano" in a time machine...... SR.BILLARDO
I am pretty certain that Frazier would lose to both of those men. Frazier said Marciano would have beaten Him and Ali and Louis would have as well he did not mention Dempsey
