    Prime unless otherwise stated:

    Harold Johnson
    June, 1954 Ezzard Charles
    1955 Archie Moore
    Eddie Muhammad
    Matthew Franklin Muhammad
    Dwight Qawi
    Marvin Johnson
    Yaqui Lopez
    James Scott

If prime Dempsey had to defend vs this roster, could he make it through undefeated?

While I don't worship Dempsey as I once did, and I do recognize his flaws, I don't think any of the guys listed above have the power to deal with Dempsey. Nor do I think they could avoid him for 15 rounds and win.

    Yes, Dempsey beats them all.

Younger Charles and Moore could beat him. These versions weren't good enough to me though.

Moore is pound for pound a much greater boxer.

However, Moore is not fast enough to stay away from him. Dempsey is naturally 15lb + bigger than Moore, has faster hands and is a bigger puncher. Archie may be P4P a better puncher but not in terms of actual power.

Moore has terrific defense but he will get hit against the faster handed quicker footed Dempsey. I am not sure how he survives this.

I could see Moore staggering Dempsey or even dropping him. But enough to keep him down? Doubt it. Dempsey is a bigger puncher than Patterson.

Dempsey's right hand power is not far behind Marciano and he has a better left than Rocky. Plus he is much quicker than Marciano was. I don't see what Moore can do here.

Moore is a greater p4p fighter than Dempsey but he isn't beating Dempsey.

No way he beats all of them. Tunney beat him twice and Miske drew with him

To be fair he was well past his prime at that time and still he could knock down tunney

While I think he could win them all, I highly doubt that he's stopping those guys in 1 or Charles in 3.

A man who puts Franklin and Pops in with Dempsey is a monster.

Given that most of those guys were light heavyweights and some of them past their primes during the proposed dates then yes. He most likely would have beaten them all.
