Tend to agree, provided that Fury takes the fight seriously and sees his medium-sized foe as a credible heavyweight opponent.

Dempsey eats him alive.Look at the avatar..Furys size will work against him. Dempseys speed and explosiveness. Fury like Klitschkos can'.t punch down.Dempsey has a target he can't miss..Dempsey isn't going to try to keep his distance. In seconds Dempsey will be within inches..Fury in spite of being probably much strong. is a much weaker puncher. Thats because Dempsey utilizes pure punching techniques. Every punch Dempsey lands will be equivalent to a 200 lb weight dropped from a one story building landing on Furys head. And it wont be one punch at a time. But 4-5 punch combos..Dempseys weapon is his ability to utilize his bodyweight. Dempseys bodyweight will be moving like lightning. To quick for Fury to keep him at the distance he needs to keep him..Before Dempsey dropped Willard . Willard had never been knocked of his feet. Gunboat Smith said he punched Willards so hard it practically tore Willards ear off. Jess need stitches to help reattach it. Yet still Willard stayed on his feet. What Jess lacked in boxing skills He made up in toughness and durability.. Hard to knock out..Also you know Dempsey will be ready mentally for Fury.. Where as Fury (God Bless him and pray good heath to him always) has had issues of mental illness which is not a good time for a breakdown before a fight with Dempsey

Amidst all this fan fiction, I love the "pure punching techniques"... the old ways of the dark masters forgotten in the mists of time...

    Yeah, sure.

(And yeah I've read Dempsey's tabloid level primers on the manly art.)

I'd say he put suspect chin to bed against Wilder. He can be dropped, but his chin is solid with execellent recuprative powers. Like Holmes IMO. Fury leans all over him on the inside and wears him down for a UD.

Well, I have read reports and listened to wise analysis that reveals that the great Paulie Malignaggi would beat Dempsey, so I don’t think things look to good here for Jack.,.

As long as we agree the great Paulie beats them both I am fine with either pick

Maybe because they were beating men 20-50 pounds heavier then they were then? Just a thought

Wrestling is part of boxing and always has been. It doesn't count if it doesn't get called.

not disqualifying an obvious elbow move.
