no way, he would have better luck with Wlado,,,, Vitali was miles better than the 6.6 Jess Willard personally I would love to see Dempsey be victorious, he is one of my favorite fighters,,,, I just don't see it as easy task for him against a guy as skilled and big as Vitali.
this is a boxing forum, we like to repeat ourselves :rasta has Ricardo Lopez and Nic Valuev been done in a while :nut
Vitali slaughters him in about five or six rounds. He shoves him off when he gets inside, takes the occasional wild haymaker but isn't moved, and in the meantime breaks open Dempsey's face.
Dempsey completely outmatched. Vitali every bit as mean and ornery but with much better physical tools takes his time in a methodical beatdown. Dempsey's work rate diminishes drastically after his go for broke initial attack fails. Mercy stoppage around round 8.
Dempsey did well vs bigger fighters, but the ones he sparked tended to be stationary types with limited defense. Vitali is rather mobile, and has too much size and skills for any 190 pound man to over come baring some sort of injury or fluke event. I think he defeats Dempsey in the mid to late rounds. Dempsey could have his share of moments before Vitali takes over.
