Wow, the nostalgia here is actually ridiculous. Will Wlad ever get any credit here?

 

Worse yet, the Dempsey that couldn't corner tiny Gibbons, fat and tiny Meehan and sick Miske is gonna chop down a fully skilled, athletic wonder in Wlad. These morons who can't see the difference between an old ass Willard and a prime Wlad need to be put down.

If by Einstein you mean a 131 year old man, perhaps you point the finger in the wrong direction.

 

To my understanding of the sport, Wlad has extremely small chance of being defeated. Dempsey just isn't big and strong enough, he certainly hasn't that 'boxing professer' methodical thinking about him either.

If you're going to put a classic against Wladmir, I'd like to see Jack Johnson.

 

Really? You can't play counter-puncher against Wlad. Johnson has an awful style tailor made for Wladimir frankly.

 

As each post goes I've warmed up more to you. Nostalgia is a strange thing. I'm not totally on your side all the time but posters like you and PP are needed. They sometimes remind some of the crazed classics not to go to far and do a good job telling them where the line is. Although, sometimes it goes both ways in the modern arguments.

I think Dempsey has a puncher's chance. Some of these comments of Buddy Bear beating Wlad... just ridiculous.

 

What you say is true, but the tone of it is a little hasty.

 

O i forgot..Buddy Baer, Carnera, and Willard over Wlad is a complete joke. Those 3 guys combined wouldn't win a round against Wlad.

HArd trained boxers in those days fought drunk all the time. Some of them even got drunk between rounds.

Wlad was hit with very good punch but still got up. And he was hit again and again by punches that he could not see. And Sanders is pretty good puncher. So you were saying?
If you don't know how to train neck and head movement its your problem. Ability to take punch deeply depends on head movement. More elastic muscle can absorb most of the punch power. If you don't know this basics its you problem. I guess you have no experience in boxing whatsoever.
I also think that Dempsey simply won't land those punches that he could land on old Willard. I also think that Dempsey power in modern gloves wont impress anyone.

 

And you basing this on what?
Who did Dempsey beat with comparable jab? I also know for sure that Wlad WILL land on Dempsey. Would he be able to take those punches?
