Mercer against Lewis wasn't 40 ****ing years old for Christs sake atsch Why the hell do Klit-ites have to compare apples to oranges all the time....****s sake.
Good point. That aspect of offense is not taught enough by modern trainers, though it is pretty damn simple to learn and apply.
I think Wlad shows impressive handspeed there, its just 1 example of what I consider good speed. Especially considering Wlad's throwing real punches with accuracy in combination. I've never seen a big man throw a hook off a jab like that
I don't dislike either Klits - they both seem likeable fellas and they're obviously solid fighters for trialhorses to beat but I'm sorry powerpuncher you just sound stupid saying a 245lb Klit is in anyway quicker than a 185 Rocky - thats just plain ridiculous - stick to reality (and also refrain from trying to insult obviously decent posters like Burt and then people might have an ounce of respect for you on here - otherwise people will just think you're the pr**k that you've been making yourself sound for the last few days :good
Bad post. like which ? like Riddick Bowe whom had his number when he was bulked and still young ? like an old George Foreman whom he still could not stop ? or maybe like Bert Cooper (a cruiser) who managed to put him down ? but loses by early stoppage to Carl Thompson while Valuev destroys a younger and fresher Monte Barrett than the one whom put his fully fledged self down years later ? You mean like John Ruiz , right ? and then losses by stoppage to Tarver and Johnson and seals the deal with a decision loss he was happy to get , right ? no chance for Wlad here. While Moorer gets slightly underrated as a heavy , you are familiar with his 3 stoppage losses , are you ? a finished Golotta. A diminished Cooney (although I don't know why) as should be. no one wants tragedies.
I think it's safe to say Dempsey never saw anything like Wlad except for in his nightmares. A gianter-er Jess Willard who could actually box. I don't however, pick Wlad by blowout. I very much suspect he'd be fighting off the backfoot and controlling the distance and tempo with his jab and sledgehammer right. Dempsey could very well see the end depending on how keen he would be to press the action. Running onto Wlad's punches doesn't usually end well for little guys.
I am not sure that this is true to be honest. Yes Wlad would be far better than any big man that Dempsey had faced, but he would not bring much that he had never seen before. He had been in with super heavyweights who could punch, box, take a punch, and he had just gone through them like a hot knife through butter. He would know that Wlad was the best that he had ever faced, but he would definitely be seeing potential roads to victory here!
