I'd agree he beat DeGale, and I can't comment on Periban, since I didn't watch it. But last night was no robbery, I was glad to see a good and fair decision made for the sake of boxing in fact. Two 114-144 cards was music to my ears
So one judge scored it the same as you, two scored it one round different and that makes you think corruption. C'mon man..
Even Jack thought so, Floyd and Ellerbe even voiced their opinions on it lol. How is it just me? How do you explain the constant bull**** cards again and again and again when fights are involving Jack?
And he would need to with this judging. Actually Kovalev edged Ward. They didn't give him the correct call either.
None of the cards looked too far out to me. Jack has a style that always seems to make fights look close. Dirrell, Groves, DeGale and Stevenson were all reasonably close. Jack got the nod in 2 and got 2 draws. I don't think it's going to make a good sequel to The Great Train Robbery.
Don't forget another one where he clearly beat Bute but got another screwjob (Before the change to the DQ).
Yeah the Bute one he could have got the nod for but I still think he left enough room for doubt. On the plus side I think he looks a lot better at lhw. The draw against Stevenson was different because there were a lot of clear rounds. At smw it just seemed to be close round after close round. He's a bit more vulnerable at 175, not quite so solid due to the size, but he looks a lot more entertaining which is great. As pretty much neutral I really enjoyed last night's fight and hope to see the rematch!
Lmfao what, well if you think there was doubt in those fights, you must think there was doubt in the Golovkin/Canelo fight because that was extremely close that could have went both ways. Many had it a draw or even a Canelo win.
I had Golovkin winning but I don't think that was conclusive either. I've always thought that rematches and trilogies are brilliant for boxing. Too often we don't get proper closure on who is best and having multiple fights is the best way to show who is the man..
1/4/8/9/10/11/12 There were actually a round or two that I awarded to Stevenson that I could even award to Jack. It could have been slightly wider for Jack.
I gave those same rounds to Jack minus round 11. Which admittedly was very close, but I rewatched it just now and still felt it was edging to Stevenson.
