Jack Johnson appreciation thread

I am going to start this appreciation thread with some of the reports of his second career.

Here is some from the Pat Lester fight. A highly ranked opponent, coming off an alleged 8 year retirement (Jeffries eat your heart out if this had any semblance of truth). A truly dominant and underated performance.

i think this link might work better. Nothing special just a notation that Johnson tried to fight Billy miske in his second career but the NJ commission stopped it.

 

An amazing fighter. Especially for the times he lived in. He and Jack Dempsey were definitley the best heavies,by far,prior to Joe Louis.

 

That would have been a really good and interesting fight. Too bad.
