Clay is giving his best guess, he cannot say with any certainty and no amount of inveigling /spin on your part will induce him to do so ,because he is an honest man.

When Langford fought Johnson, 3 of his last 4 fights had been against heavyweights,2 with Jeannette, 1 with Black Fitzsimmons. So no need to keep repeating this inaccuracy.:good

Utter ****. List the weights of the fighters you mentioned. You can't! I'll venture a guess, they were less than 180 pounds

I did notice Balck Fitzsimmons, who was KO waiting to happen was " 30 to 40 " pounds less than Dunning, who really was not that big in their 1907 fight.

Maybe Langford did fight men above 160 pounds, but it likely did not happen often prior to 1906. He was young, small and inexperienced at heavyweight. I'll stand on those points.

Jeannette had only been boxing for a year when he meet Langford with an 8-6-1 record! This just shows you how miscast Langford was fighting heavyweights in 1905 losing to a guy with a 8-6-1 record.

The difference was Jeannette stopped Langford. Johnson could not.

Your exact words were that he got TKOd in a four round exhibition match. These are the exact words, from the time, of Gunboat Smith:

So no, Im not calling him a liar, hes calling you one.

Of course Ive posted and reposted this article for you half a dozen times and either you cant read or youve willfully chosen to ignore it because it doesnt adhere to your narrative. So for once and for all lets hear you admit that you are wrong and that at worst Smith merely knocked Johnson down in a sparring session. No TKO, no Exhibition, no controversy.

They were heavyweights ." Sam was matched with the very formidable 26 year old heavyweight Joe Jeannette" . Sam Langford Boxing's Greatest Uncrowned Champion" ,by Clay Moyle.page 47. ps Langford retired in his corner.Or as you would call it if it was Jack Johnson ,he quit.
