Certainly a possible scenario. He was charming, carismatic and fan friendly. He would also have been astute enough to do the charity, celebrity and chat show thing. His misdemeanours might have largley slipped under the radar.
Althought he would behave like Mayweather in private, he would be a lot more reasonable in terms of what he said in public. Faced with a public who liked him he would respond positivley.
There is absolutely nothing Jack Johnson could do to make the same impact as far as controversy goes. Can you really see anything outraging even the most conservative groups of people here in the states enough to the point of rioting? We're living in the era of 2 girls 1 cup.
