Johnson was far past his prime vs Moran. He was 35 years old, and had a tire around his midsection. Johnson's best fighting weight is 192-205lb. 221lb is too big for johnson. Johnson was fat and Flabby all over. His reflexes had declined.

Why do you guys even bother discussing with Mendoza on these topics? He is like Pachilled when it comes to Duran, just slightly less obvious.

 

not to enter the fray but the same reflexes occur when his on the belt line/bladder area. you feel like you are gonna **** your pants. Sharkey was a head case, no one will deny. I haven't watched the complete fight in a long time. Perhaps he felt Dempsey coming on and wanted to pull a Marcel Thil.

 

Sharkey's reaction right before dempsey followed with the left hook, was someone who was not faking..but someone who was in severe pain from two short hooks to the balls previousely( which can be seen on film). Just watch the look on Sharkey's face...Doesn't seem like acting to me.

Agreed. At least the forum is starting to see this guy's true colors. It's been years since he has brought anything new to the table. I think it's time to give him the boot.

 

Tunney coldly and clearly wins a decision in a scientific fight that wouldn't have boosted his popularity with average fight fans one iota.

 

He comes nowhere near being the most boring, predictable and intellectually-stiffled poster on this board. But if you are looking to create a group of homogenous opinion on subjects unknowable, keep up the work.
