Johnson gets jacked around here as of late............ Again, I pick Johnson........ I rank J.J. as an all-time great in my top-10........ Joe Wally is in my top-20...... Yes, I know, styles make fights, but Johnson was a pioneer of mastery.... He edges Wally over 15 rds...... Maybe even stops Wally late by TKO.?.? MR.BILL
Cream would have punished Johnson worse than Choynski did. Marchegiano hit a downed Cream in 1 of their fights , don't remember which , but I remember I watched it. Not to mention Johnson did not hit as hard as Marchegiano , the man couldn't stop Langford , Thompkins and Tommy Burns (over 14) and lost a 20 rounds decision to Marvin Hart and Joe Choynski . Johnson was just not that good even for his poor era , and avoided the bigger risks of that era.
Johnson dropped Langford twice , [Sam got a long count in one ,] broke his nose ,cut his eyes then eased up on him, read reports of the fight. Thomkins? Burns was dropped multiple times, the police intervened to save him from a ko. Frankenfart, what are you on?
As much as I want to agree with Mcvey here, Rocky Marciano retired at age 32. Rocky as champion fought the best out there. Johnson as champion was busy going to the distance with teir two guys like Ross, drawing with middle weights, getting floroed with middle weights, and drawing with a journeyman.
That's great Mendoza. Maybe you can find the time to finally answer the oft-asked questions in this thread - http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=337905&page=6 This post - http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showpost.php?p=10571390&postcount=87 Shouldn't take long!
In what world is Jersey Joe Walcott a better fighter than Jack Johnson? Come on Frank, you can't make a case for Jack Johnson being inferior to Walcott, it just isn't true.
Cream ducked no one , floored every top opponent he fought , was only legitimately KOd by Marchegiano (in only 1 of their 2 fights) and Louis (after beating Louis in their first fight) out of all of his opponents during his title reign , a little past it and a little prior to it. As for Johnson , see my post which mcvey replied to , but still ignored 2 fights in it , and does not know that Thompkins is "Young ..." (I forgot young what but it was the man who stopped Langford and Walcott and avenged his own stoppage loss to Mysterious Billy Smith with a stoppage) , and then of course went the distance with Johnson despite being listed/considered a welterweight. I think Sumbu Kalambay would have whipped Johnson bad :yep
Did Walcott floor Baksi ? Fox x2 ? Simon ? Maxim x3 ? Ten Hoff ? Layne ? As I said ,concerning the Langford fight ,read the news reports. Then do the same for the Young Peter Jackson fight,Jackson ran away all night ,Johnson ,stopped the action and spoke to the crowd ,"I would like to show you a fight but my opponent does not want to fight". Jackson stopped Sam Langford in 5 rounds ,in his next fight, 6 months after losing to Johnson. Jackson was only stopped twice in 134 fights ,despite meeting punchers like Langford , [6 times].Johnson floored him twice. If you think your posts are a joke ,you are right ,but the laugh is on you. If you weren't so lazy and ,actually read reports, you might have a better grasp of what actually took place in fights instead of making a complete ass of yourself over and, over again. If you really are as stupid as your posts indicate ,I suggest you brush up on your knowledge. If you are trollling to get some perverse reaction ,your act is wearing very thin.
