Galento does not have a prayer in this one, he probably kos himself by swinging with that hook ,missing ,and falling flat on his porcine face.

I can imagine Jack giving Tony a box of Havana Cigars after the "Fight" as a consolation prize and a big gold toothed grin. Jack might be playful and treat this as a clowning exhibition, ?

A close fight...After all Jack Johnson who was born in 1878,would be about 62 years old when he would fight Galento in the 1940s

J, I hate to burst the bubble of Tony Galento's voracious eating and drinking. Not true. The truth was just discovered that Galento devoured only dietery spaghetti, washed down by Light Beer. And Galento's ample stomache was really caused by clinical pregnancy...:hi:

I think Galento has a decent chance here. He's far better than any of Johnson's title challengers. He's
busy, relentless and packs real heavyweight power. If Johnson lasts thr 6, he takes the
advantage but I'm not sure he is either busy enough or powerful enough to put a dent in Tony.

One part of this is accurate.
Galento packed real heavyweight power. He was also slow of foot ,slow of hand, had no jab, poor defence, and a plodding work rate. He cut easily and slowed to a crawl after a couple of rounds. Most of the good boxers he met comprehensively outpointed him, even Godoy beat him twice. Galento 5'9", fighting out of a crouch ,would be meat for Johnson's uppercut, and his tender skin would be in jeopardy from Johnson's jabs. SHORT MEN DID NOT DO WELL AGAINST JOHNSON.
