would the old master get destroyed by the monsterous punching foreman, or would he out fox him to a great victory toying with big george the whole way?
I would go with Johnson here. Big sluggers like Foreman were basicaly made to order for Jack Johnson stylisticaly. He would tie Foreman up, black and counter his punches. Once Johnson got past the first six rounds he would be on the home stretch.
Poor Johnson, and his Unforgivable Blackness. Just joking around, janitor. But of all the fighters you could make this typo with...
Dual outcome....... Foreman of '73 loses to Johnson of 1908....... Johnson too crafty for the wild Foreman.......... BUT! The Foreman of 1990 / '91, beats Jack Johnson of 1910 thru 1915....... I have a good amount of rough footage on film of Johnson's reign. Johnson NEVER fought a hulk like Foreman who knew who to fight... The older Foreman was slower, but much more skilled and patient.... 40 year old Foreman at 258 pounds, clobbers Jack Johnson in a time machine........ OKAY! Let the arrows fly....... Cheerio... MR.BILL EXTRA: Foreman really sucked-it-up in 1994, at age 45, and 250 pounds to roar back to KO Moorer..... My dick still rises each time I review the fight tape.... BOING!
Johnson is not stopping Foreman. I just don't think he would pour it on in that way, and although he would certainly bash George up pretty bad, he'd be taking a safety first approach. All that stuff you see him do with Jeffries and Burns at "play" he would need to be dong that but seriously and for the entire fight. Can't give George space or to much initiative. It would be a huge task. If Jack is physically strong enough to use his superior refelxes and trickery inside then I bet he would win a decision. If Foreman can bull him he wins by KO.
I think Johnson would decision Foreman of the 70's. And I still think he would beat Foreman of the 90's, unless we have a repeat come from behind KO.
This one is very difficult. Jack johnson had a superb defence, a beautifull right uppercut and plenty of experience, but a major flaw his chin. He got knocked out by Jewish light heavy Joe Choynski in three round's, this proves he isn't capable of taking Foremans punches. However he did know how to stay away, i visualise him moving slowly around and catching Foreman with counters to his wild attack's. In the clinches foreman would be suprised at Johnson's strength [he bent Jeffries arm behind his back when they fought] This would go on for about three rounds, then foreman would maul him to the ropes and ko johnson brutally.
Choynsky kod Johnson with a shot to the temple.Johnson called Choynsky the hardest hitter he ever faced, and he should know.Johnson was in his 8th fight when he faced Choynsky ,Choynsky his 67th.
Foreman wouldn´t get stopped here unless his stamina would betray him but he would get a good whooping. Johnson would do similar things to him Ali did psychologically, perhaps worse. Poor George thought he lost his confidence after Ali ...
Johnson already had 20+ fights under his belt when Choynsky Ko'd him. The fight took place in Johnson's home town. It was Choynski who rode the rails to get there. Here's the thing on Johnson, when he fought quality fighters with experience and power.....Choynski, Klondike, Griffin, and Hart, his results were mixed. There is no way Johnson takes Foreman's bombs, but he could out think and tire Foreman out. I'd lean toward Foreman to win inside six, but I would leave the book open for a late round TKO by Johnson if Foreman gasses.
