    Jack Johnson turns down $20,000 for a ten round no decision fight vs Jeanette, which at the time was the record amount offered for a 10 round no-decision type of fight.

    This would have been a good fight. A very green Jeanette was near even with Johnson when the fought. A 1912 match up between the two would be hard to call. Who do you think would have won the “ news decision “ barring the knockout?

    Johnson would not get out of bed for $20, 000. His flat rate for any title defence was $30, 000 unless it was against a warm up oponent.

    He fought Flynn for less than much less than 20,000. This was a record purse for a safe ND 10 round fight. This to me defines ducking.

    iIf you dont agree with Dr Mendacity you are in the minority. he will print and spin anything that reflects badly on Johnsonthat is his agenda,you and I have often disagreed ,but I respect you and your arguments,if you continue to disagree with Dr Mendacity ,be prepared to be patronised ,and condescended to,for the rest of us are but courtiers around a KIng.

    I did not make anything up here. The only thing I'm guilty of right now is having a bit of fun at your exepnse.

    Johnson vs Jeanette would have been the heavyweight fight of the year! Johnson turned down a record purse for a 10 round ND fight.

    He drew a color line vs the best black fighters, and ripped the fans off who wanted to see this fight. Read and weap, but please do not act like I'm making things up, unless of corse you think the source is bougus. Then its up to you to post a reason why.
