I'm going with Johnson by very late stoppage against Witherspoon. Thoughts?

Tim would have to come in better shape than he usually did in the event that this fight went beyond 15. Johnson was built to be a long range fighter who steadily wore his opponents down. He was a monster to deal with in the clinches and could hit hard too. Was it Ketchel’s teeth he scattered all over the ring ? Anyway, it’s a hard call. Tim was pretty awkward himself and was a very good heavyweight in his own time. Not sure who wins this one.

I am a fan of fighters from Johnson's era due to their accomplishments and their incredible life stories.

However, it is extremely difficult to assess their skill level because the quality of footage available of Johnson and co is so poor.

I wish we had better footage available. The footage available does not do Johnson justice.

Jack wins by UD, though I am not sure he could handle the Witherspoon right.

We'd have to take Tim back to jacks time for it to be fair, let him live back then for years, to fight in much the same style that guys fought then.

Prime Tim destroys the tiny, static Johnson, who simply did not have the tools to deal with a modern fighter as skilled and talented as Tim.

Give Johnson some years in Tim's era and we might have a discussion here.
