let me know where i brought them up. u appear to be, as it stands, referring to me mentioning that being fat/mass is a recent trend, and you are extrapolating "tell me about 1910 training methods" from that. which remains fail.
You still can't name any heavyweights you consider good from Johnson's reign. Combined with your vague, evasive posts, and your belief that no information exists about training methods in 1900 (!), I'm starting to believe that you don't know very much about Jack Johnson's era. We both know that you compared modern training unfavorably to Johnson's era in this post: So how about you stop playing games, and start answering my questions?
By what Johnson looks on film, I would give him better display of his defensive skills against Tyson, Tua and Louis than against taller moving powerpunchers like Wlad or Lewis.
well done you just named one, keep going. I dont know that I did that, noone here knows that I did -but you seem to know it.
Wow, just wow. Anyone Johnson fought was a serious challenge? This pretty much DQ's you from a classic discussion. Wlad would destroy Johnson.
Look, let me be direct here: you come across as being really scared of being wrong. The evasiveness, the refusal to answer basic questions, the weird comment about sending me to Jonestown immediately after you were challenged, the repeated editing of your own posts, denials that you were talking about training when everybody can read in your posts -- all of it. If you can't back something up, just admit it, and move on. Don't waste entire pages trying to dodge the burden of arguing for your position.
You've gone off at a tangent - stop BS and let me know whats wrong with avoiding excess weight in a cardio sport. Thats all there is to it. try to avoid going off on one about what i know of training methods in here be dragons days. Trimming excess wieght is about ALL cardio sport, dont make it about just johnsons era, thats ridiculous.... almost as ridiculous as you spending a whole page not realising it.
it would be if i wrote it. I didnt. You wrote that. i wrote "anyone who was a serious challenge". if you require it in a different language you are better at, try google translate, then you wont fall afoul like that again.
And here's where we come full circle. If you think modern fighters don't know how to prepare for a cardio sport, I encourage you to train the next heavyweight champion with this revolutionary knowledge. And if you think Johnson & co. understood conditioning better than fighters today, post something demonstrating it. Since you can't do either, and you know it, you've spent two whole pages trying to avoid both topics. It's getting obvious that you don't know about Johnson's period, either, and I'm not holding my breath anymore waiting for the list of fighters from his era you consider good. Unless there's an argument of actual substance in your next posts, I don't really see a point to another page of trying to convince you to stop running away from direct questions.
Two grapplers , Johnson punched within the wheelhouse whereas Wlad just grappled. Johnson wrestled just as good as Wlad but he also punched as he wrestled so because of that Johnson would clear him imo. One thing is for certain though , no fair modern era ref would or could allow Wlad go beyond 5 rounds fouling in the manner he would be forced to against Johnson. There's no way he can deal with his movement and attacks n close without jumping down on his back over and over again. Johnson tko or Johnson by way of NC.
quit pretending. They fought much much longer bouts. let me know why you think that required poorer conditioning than 4-10 rounders plus an occasional 12 rnder. oh, you cant, you were just faking it all this time. 11 out of 10 for effort in that.
Like he destroyed Purrity, Sanders and Brewster...............the only reason someone even remembers those D C B level fighters is for the fact that they simply waxed WK with zero finesse.....they just beat him down.
i suspect he was sticking up for his pal crosstrainer who is getting a beating here, so its commendable in a way to see pals do that, even if it didnt help. i would help my pals out for sure.
