    I remember seeing a clip of Johnson shadow boxing in front of a crowd and the man was ripped to shreds. All lean muscle. It really doesn't matter how big you are but rather how well conditioned you are that counts. Men like Johnson, Dempsey, Louis, Marciano, Ali and Frazier didn't lift weights yet were in great condition. Countless calisthenics, chopping wood, rowing boats and even throwing stones got these men in great shape. I recently watched the James Toney/ Samuel Peter rematch and was apalled at the lack of conditioning in these two. Give me the old time training when fights were scheduled for 15 plus rounds and fighters were lean and hard instead of bulky and sloppy.
