I like Pavlik but his trainer is a first class *****.

 

Why should Joe fight him, it's obvious prime to prime Joe beats him...can't he be allowed to make his own decisions, respect his decision to fight Jones and respect him...Pavlik came around too late for Joe, Joe dominate his time, maybe Pavlik will do the same.

 

Joe Calzaghe will never fight Pavlik, we need to accept this. Calzaghes 0 is to precious as to risk losing it to Pavlik. After Kessler Joe called Kelly out and stated how Roy is way past it and not worth fighting. Then Gary Lockett gets launched back to Britain and the balerina Enzo tells his wittle boy "you don't want to fight that monster" Joe agrees, breaks ties with Warren who was negotiating a Pavlik fight and then chases "an old legend whos to far past it"

it's quite amazing that for years and years frank warren has been viewed as some sort of british don king scumbag that you do not trust under any circumstances.

No point talking bout calzaghe anymore cos too many people love to hate him.

 

extracts of it including the part about roy where joe has truely shot himself in the foot, i'm a huge fan of his but he ****ed up there.

as for warren supposedly wanting calzaghe to fight pavlik instead of RJJ and it being the cause of their break, do me a favour. believe that and you'll believe anything. this is frank warren we're talking about. joe made one slip up about roy, warren has made a career out of screwing people over and lowballing.

 

I'm not saying I believe Warren as the gospel or anything Plug but dare to be objective...Did you miss the part in his book where he talks about ducking Johnson?
And people giving Joe credit for beating Bhop or Jones is on level with people giving Berbick credit for beating Ali, which means **** all and you know it...Admit that you wished Joe wouldve done more with his career already and stop hailing him as the reincarnation of christ...please

 

He's not the reincarnation of anything, but he's not a ***** either. And to compare Hopkins or Jones to Ali against Holmes is a big insult to them. It's not even a case of people not thinking Joe's as good as others think, its the constant insults. Joe's a great fighter, maybe he could have done more, like a lot of fighters, doesn't mean he's not great.

 

i know all about the johnson situation but have not read what calzaghe had to say about it in his book.

RJJ, means very little. hopkins, means a fair bit. bernard was far removed from his prime but it's not joe's fault that bernard backed out of a proposed fight in 2002.

i have never hailed him as anything along those lines, have never hailed him as the best of the past 25 years or P4P #1 or anything else you wish to fling at me. calzaghe is a very talented fighter who's career leaves much to be desired. won't stop me being a fan.
