Opetia is a massive favourite - he is quicker and a more talented boxer. But Massey may be able to put up a competitive fight.
Only thing Massey has going for him is that he's fought Parker, so COULD be said to have fought the better competition, though he lost and it is concealable that Briedis was better than Parker. Opetaia should win handily.
Nobody could effectively argue that Parker is better than Opetaia. That would be absurd. Massey is quite boring and Parker is very boring, so that was always going to end up in a stinker. Opetaia will knock Massey out.
Parker has been tested v bigger and stronger fighters than Jai, his chin is proven v hard hitting heavyweights, Zhang would destroy Jai as would AJ, Jai has never been hit by guys that big, he`s unproven against that kind of power.
This is one of several mismatches on the October 12th card. The main event is a great matchup however.
Massey was robbed blind against Riakporhe who, other than the ref ruling a completely bogus KD in his favour where no punch came close to landing, couldn't put him over or stop him and Riakporhe should've had multiple points deducted for excessive holding too J-Park couldn't drop or stop Massey either and Massey landed some big shots of his own too This content is protected So Massey only really has one genuine loss and that came against the current #3 ranked HW in the world who had 32lbs on him He's also the current European and Commonwealth champion which he won in his last fight after stepping in at late notice (4 weeks) against Isaac Chamberlain. Is Massey going to beat Opetatai? No but he's tough, game and a good fighter who is arguably on CBS's level In fact, Massey beat him in the ABAs Fight link here https://www.skysports.com/watch/vid...inals-chris-billam-smith-v-jack-massey/more/4
