There are multiple legitimately recognized ranking systems. Whether or not you believe in them won't change that. Rating a cruiserweight untested at heavy above an established heavyweight seems more fluff to me.
Massey will do himself proud in this fight He probably won't win but some people are overating Jai far too much
Maybe not but he has a cruiserweight`s hand speed and speed is the only advantage a cruiser would have over a big heavyweight, which is why Usyk is so effective at the higher weight, Holyfield not only had quick hands but he could out-work bigger slower heavies and was roided up anyway.
They're all roided up, Mark. And Parker isn't a big heavyweight. He's down as 6'4'' but that's not right, and he's put on so much weight that his stamina is no good. Opetaia would be extremely hard work for Parker.
No, Holy clearly bulked up and got stronger after his loss to Bowe, in that fight he only weighed 205lbs.
Of course he did, but if you think that Holyfield's opponents weren't also at it then you're a bit wet behind the ears.
I wouldn't say I have doubts, he is the real deal However some people have gone a bit over the top watching a few mismatches in which he looked amazing Up against real competition, he is still very good but Imo beatable Bredis at his advanced age gave him a hell of a fight
A good stay busy opponent for Opetaia to maintain his shape for further challenges, Opetaia by early KO.
I've boxed lads who have fought against both of these men (Danny Fleary, Jordan Thompson) and based on that I see this as a 60/40 in Opetaia's favour maybe a bit closer. Danny Fleary was definitely better than Jordan Thompson but poorly managed, he nearly beat Massey if you watch that fight. Thompson unsurprisingly destroyed by Opetaia. Think Jai Opetaia will have an explosive start but Massey will grow into the fight in the second half.
He looked easy to hit in his last fight, a powerful heavy landing those shots would have stopped him.
Cannot believe the hype this fight is receiving. Every where I go people talking about Opetai finally fighting a heavyweight. I always tell them it's a maismatch but no one listening. Why is this fight so hyped? I don't get it?
I think it's all the Massey fan boys tbh. They are taking over the internet saying he's gonna beat Opetai.
