I am sure that what Louis was saying, was that his reflexes were gone.

Fair play to him for beating Walcott twice, but if it had been a prime Sharkey, he would have been in just as deep.

If it had been a prime Schmeling, then he would have ben the one to go out on a stretcher!

I think what he was saying was what he was saying - that his reflexes were "gone" but he was able to beat Walcott twice...not buying frankly.

Anyway, all I mean is that Walcott was best prepared to take advantage of those shortcomings, specifically. I disagree (obviously) that Sharkey had the style to sink him "just as deep" (in this instance winning twice, once by KO).

You must have a very high opinion, of all those men who gave Louis a close fight, near his prime then!

I guess that Walcott and Charles were damn lucky that they weren't around?

I’d favour Louis to find that chin after some issues early on with Sharkey’s movement and boxing, Sharkey had his chin in the air and hands quite low, Louis would jab to the body and set up the right over onto Sharkey’s chin.
Walcott was better in every way that would matter here than Sharkey, the only think I can think of that Sharkey is better at is closing the distance by leaping when on the front foot, which may actually help him in a H2H matchup against Walcott himself, but wouldn’t help against Louis, Sharkey was more of a boxer anyway and pressuring wouldn’t be the way for him to beat Louis.
