Not. Because i keep saying what you don't like to read and you are a sharkey fanboy. This one is the real motive.
Sharkey was a mediocre, deal with it and stop replying like a parrot

 

I'm not Sharkey fan, I just give him credit which he deserves. Similary, I often defend Jack Johnson or Sonny Liston even though I'm not a fan of either.

If Sharkey was mediocre, then who isn't?

 

I don't think he won it either, but I also don't think Sharkey won the Schmeling fight.

Résumés don't win fights. I don't think Sharkey would beat Holmes. I do think Spinks would beat Carnera and Schmeling. Spinks would also beat Sharkey IMO, his jab is too good and he'd counter Sharkey if Sharkey tried to mount his offence. Spinks also looks quicker.

 

Fair enough, but then Sharkey has a lot of decent wins:
Tommy Loughran
Harry Wills
Young Stribling
Jack Delaney
Jim Maloney
George Godfrey
Jack Renault
Floyd Johnson

to name a few. Spinks has no resume outside of Holmes and Cooney fights and I don't think that Cooney win is better than any of Sharkey's top 5 wins.

I agree, although Holmes looked quite underwhelming in the first fight.

I agree with Carnera but disagree with Schmeling.

It would be definitely a good fight
