    I think this would be a very good fight. But at their peaks I like Ezzard Charles. I believe he was more well rounded than Sharkey. His winning streak from the mid 1940’s up to 1950 was among one of the greatest in boxing.

    Very good fight. Really good. When Sharkey was hot he was capable of all time results. Sharkey kayoed Tommy Laughran back when it was barely possible to beat Tommy decisively on points…yet Sharkey could just as easy draw with middleweight Micky Walker and lost the rematch to Laughran.

    overall though Charles was such an advanced and reliable technician who deserves to be favoured.

    I would also favor the more consistent Charles, but I certainly wouldn't count Sharkey out.
