    I think Patterson would have befuddled Sharkey with his incredible hand speed, and I don't think Floyd would have been in too much danger of Jack's punches at any time. It would have been somewhat like Floyd's win over Eddie Machen, with a flash knockdown of Sharkey sometime in the bout. Patterson W15 Sharkey.

    sharkey had alot of off-nights, this would prolly be one of them.

    This could verry easily be one of Sharkeys off nights. Even if he is at his best it is up in the air.

    Dont underestimate Sharkey though.

    He was inconsistent but brilliant in terms of talent. If his head was screwed on right he would have been a great great fighter.

    Of all the heavyweight champions between Dempsey and Louis he was in my opinion the most talented.

    When Sharkey was on Patterson could be in trouble.
