Jack Sharkey vs. Max Baer

    Of course Baer could take just about anyone out and Jack himself was taken out a few times. However Baer failed to take out much poorer boxers than Sharkey who was as good a boxing heavyweight as any and 4 times out of 5 would box rings around Max. Maybe the fifth time Baer kills him by mistake!

    Why didn't he land the right against Braddock or Uzcudun or Risko? He had plenty of time to do so. Maxie could be erratic and could be outboxed. Still, it's a good matchup.

    I feel Max would ko Sharket around 7> Jack was very erratic TOO!

    Sharkey outboxed Godfrey, Wills, Primo the first time, too much movement too much slickness for Baer. Sharkey wide for me

    Schmeling, Godfrey and Wills couldn't get him out there, I'm banking on Sharkey to reach the final bell and pocket a decision.
    He better not start yapping to the referee mid exchange when Baer's left predictably strays too low.
