You guys have a great gym there. Is Dawson still with you guys? Is Chrish John still training with you guys? What are your thoughts on the Chris John fight against Marquez? It was some what contraversial from what I have heard. Did he deserve more credit then he has been given?

He must have as he defending it against Matt Powell(at least according to boxrec he is) on the Green undercard .

Can anyone tell we anything about Powell , from his record he doesn't look much threat to Asiku but records can be deceiving . How do yee Aussies see this fight going ?

Asiku will win by early KO my friend.
Powell is nothing but a roughouse Aussie title level fighter.
After maybe a feel out round or 2, then Powell will be in trouble.:yep

Thanks for that Kegsy , I've only seen Asiku's one round demolitions of Marc Callaghan and Jamie McKeever but he looked like he could have World Class potential while doing it .

He had a second Commonwealth defense scheduled against Roy Rutherford before he moved backed to Australia but Rutherford pulled out and no other British fighter was willing to step in then , or infact take him on at any point .
Asiku was too good for his own good and since no one in Britain would pay to see two African fighters they know nothing/very little about there was no way Asiku was going to be able to defend his title anymore , and considering his title was all he had over there he was really forced into moving from Britain .

I'm glad he has found somewhere willing to facilitate him as he seems a classy fighter and hopefully if he keeps winning opportunities will arise for him .
