I'm in a good mood so i'll make one last attempt to explain it for you **** for brains.

A guy weighs 220, he cuts 15lbs to make the limit, then after the weigh-in re-hydrates - he is now 220 again. He has cut 15lbs. Following?

What he weighed 4 months ago after his Christmas turkey is irrelevant - he could have been 400lbs; that's just called weightloss. :deal

, you need to go to school or something. You have terrible reading skills man. You can cut muscle(or fat if you have extra) or water. Water is done day before or on the same day. Muscle is if you're just too big for the weight class.

I think the point is that you can't enter the ring having regained any muscle or fat you may have "cut" training before the fight. He means that it is outrageous to assume that Forrest actually enters the Octagon at 240lbs, regaining 35lbs of mass (muscle, fat, water, or whatever) in the day and a half or so after the weigh in.

You can rehydrate, but you can't put on any significant muscle mass in one day.

I don't know a ton about cutting weight but it seems unlikely that he rehydrates 17% of his total mass in that fast of a time. Forrest is huge in the Octagon, maybe even 230 or so, but 240 seems inhuman. Gaining 35 lbs in one day seems extremely dangerous.

You're not gona regain all that in 24 hours. You can regain a lot of it back but never all of it unless you gourge yourself. You can rehydrate a lot of water, like i said I know someone who did IV to rehydrate himself. He lost somewhere between 30-40lbs he has very low body fat, so he holds a lot of water. Dunno how much he regained tho.

I don't think Forrest cuts that 2 days before competition. He starts cutting week or 2 ahead of time.

I use to rule this theory out, but after I noticed the huge difference in James Thompson's physique in ELite XC compared to how he looked in Pride, I just couldnt help but wonder.
