This guy is going to be fighting for a world title. Look out tomorrow night because you're going to see a young man come of age.
He won that fight imo. Worst case scenario it was a draw. Bull****. That was a hell of a performance.
First minute second round i noticed Wilson is leaning in when he fires, and has a very wide chest, wide shoulders, big gap UP the middle. Straight away my mind is willing Jackson to throw loaded lead right uppercuts as Wilson comes in. It was there all night. Wide open. Ko all over it. Never came. Liam never threw a lead uppercut with intent. He did throw some amongst combinations, but no uppercuts loaded with bad intent. When you re watch it with an eye for landing a right uppercut (or even a loaded left one off the back foot) youll see the huge constant opening. If Wilson does not address it, someone will take advantage of it. Postscript. Still, i thought Jackson should have been given the win. If it was an amatuer fight Wilson would have got the nod. (though he did anyway) But it wasn't an amatuer fight, it was a pro fight and i thought Jackson was a bit hard done by.
All my mates down at The Gong, Brizzy, all over Oz and even Abroad reckon England should have been fighting instead of Wilson against Valdez. I agree. England wouldn't just be in the pocket like Wilson was. He should of had this world title shot. That fella will beat Herring and surely he gets a crack at a World Title this year or next? Gotta.
This. And that left hook which Valdez is notorious for planted Wilson many times. Horrible tactics. Even the ring guy post-fight was trying to help him. Man I got to say, that's great character by Valdez and that ring dude. Both of them great, great spirit.
