    His assistant did an interview as well calling him just a "puncher"

    Well, Kovalev did it first in the pre fight interviews, I don't blame JDJ at all tbh.

    Team Ward was right. They weren't a happy bunch team Kovalev. If it's true that he was just a mitt man for Kov then JDJ should've walked or Kov should've sacked him. You can't be the gaffa and and the boxer at this level. Boone said something about Kov never improving and I think there's a little truth in that. Pig headed he might be

    Some "slick jabs" in there if you listen carefully. Doesn't sound like a trainer who feels his fighter was wronged in any way whatsoever. From a cynical vantage point, it almost appears he's feeling 'somewhat vindicated' or satisfied.

    Comes off a bit odd to me.

    Apparently, Jackson didn't show up at the Kovalev postfight press conference either. He was completely absent, which is almost unheard of for the trainer of such a high profile fighter and (former) champion.

    kov brought it on himself, he claimed he trained himself, in order to get all the credit when he won, now its time to take all the blame when sh1t goes south.
