they fought in the ams...just sayin'.

    http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/boxing/article/Pavlik-doesn-t-take-long-with-Jaco-3450569.php

i know some guys who hang around the gym here in sarasota where Jaco trains. he's telling everyone here the same thing.

i'm thinking arum will set up a fight w/ jcc at a catchweight in the fall. i don't think kelly is going to be able to make 160 and jr is having a hard time with it as well. 164-165ish. it makes the most sense.

put it in texas. big crowd big money. jcc gets the sweet jesus hell beat out of him but still keeps his strap. pavlik then goes after a big name at 168...froch or abraham depending on the outcomes of their fights.

    :good

Sound post. I, too, believe that Arum is angling for a JCC Jr. bout in the Fall. If so, Kelly will will win that fight immediately reassert himself as a fighter with significant earnings potential.

I know his team is working hard to improve his conditioning, handspeed, and offensive arsenal.

We have not seen the last of the "Ghost" at the championship level.

feel like timing wise froch or abraham would be very doable and would be great fights.

    Abraham...but not Froch.

Pavlik is not ready for Froch.

Kessler is on the slide, but Pavlik needs to get some rounds in before he ****s up Kessler.

If Kelly can continye to apply the training and expertise he's receiving from his new team in Oxnard, and remain clear of booze, he can beat either of those two guys.

Kelly has had issues with movers (Sergio) and in-the-pocket, make-you-miss and punish you types (Hopkins).

Neither Froch nor AA fit the aforementioned categories.

pavlik is not ready for froch (or anyone at that level for that matter). if he gets a step up for his next tune up and then gets past jcc jr in the fall...i think he'll be about as ready as he's gonna be for what its worth.

kessler still looks like he has the frame for 168 despite moving up so i'm sure he'd come back down for a pavlik fight since kelly still has a name and i'm sure mikkel thinks he'd win. big kessler fan as well...would love to see the fight.

we'll see if he can keep it together. i've heard all the same rosy outlook comments from kelly way too many times to believe he's got all his demons locked away for good.

    but i agree w/ you 100%

How is froch so superior to Kelly? If You think about it, They both have similar quaility's that got them to where they are today.

    Power, Heart, and chin.

    Froch is slow IMO.

Abraham is the perfect matchup to make Pavlik look sensational, its a shame Arthur will spend the rest of he career feasting on European level compitition. Even though Froch seems to be slightly past his peak i still feel that would be a bad matchup for Kelly. If he still comfortable making middleweight their are a lot of decent matchups that can be made.

Pavlik isn't lightning himself. Froch is not a great idea, grit, power and determination mixed in with a good deal of awkwardness is not what Kelly should be looking for right now, especially since he can still have a bright future at 160lbs.

Well sure, but i think Pavlik edges Froch in the speed department! More so now that he is with Garcia!

i agree there a lot of options at mw. after watching pav this past weekend, i just don't see him getting back to 160. he looked healthy and fit and it just seems like too much of a risk to boil down.

but hey if he can do it safely then i agree.
