Jacobs: “We will put pressure on the judges”

that's all well and good but if it doesn't happen and yet it's obvious to everyone that he outboxed Canelo are we to just assume he didn't deserve to win?
can't think of any other boxer in history that was protected to the point where people bought it and didn't believe his opponent's deserved to win on points,that's really messed up.

 

Since colour tv American boxing has never been more desperate than it is now and thats why its never been more flagrantly corrupt than it is now. They no longer have the quality fighters or financial pull to stack everything in their favour, the only thing left is out right corruption. In the past they at least tried to make it look respectable, there were gifts but mainly in close fights. Now ridiculous score cards are the norm in almost every major fight that takes płace in the states, none worse than european vs north american match ups, they are **** scared of another klitschko taking and keeping titles in europe

 

Only way you can fight off the judges is by winning by KO, which won't happen. CLENelo has a good chin. If Jacobs, GGG or anyone else concerned about the judges, just don't fight him. But it won't happen because these boxers are greedy and would rather get millons and complain later that they got robbed.

 

Would be shocked if Jacobs wins a close decision. He'll need to stop Canelo, even if he wins every round I doubt he gets the win, DAZN has invested way too much in Canelo to have him upset so early on during their deal.

Jacobs will get rewarded for it though, he's making stupid money for this fight and is guaranteed $5 mill in his next 2 fights. If he's robbed it just means a rematch where he gets another huge payday.

 

If Canelo picked Jacobs, then it's because they have an "agreement".

Danny will do a Golovkin and do just enough to lose on the cards.

That's why he's already talking about pressuring judges instead of going for the KO.

 

I would say Canelo's defense was too good. Too good for GGGs slow looping hooks , which is why he mostly stuck to jabs.

^^There's a reason he wouldn't throw his trademark shots like that against Canelo , but sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone and go the extra mile to win and Gennady simply wasn't prepared to do that.

 

Its unprecedented for a boxer to keep getting decisions after being outboxed in every fight. Oscar is setting a new standard in boxing. It's called **** everyone, I'm doing whatever I feel like doing.

 

It’s amazing how everyone seems to know that Jacobs can’t get the nod in a close fight. Like literally everyone I talk to. It’s just the way it is with canelo

 

Canelo just signed a 365$ mil deal with DAZN, and he's gonna lose on the cards in his 2nd fight with them?



I'd give Jacobs a much better chance at 168.

 

Jacobs and his team would have to consider going to war with the Mexican Cartel if he is really serious about putting pressure on the judges.

 

If Jacobs boxes well off the backfoot and consistently outlands Canelo on a round by round basis, he's got a good chance to earn a decision.
What he's got to avoid is to do what Golovkin did vs Canelo and that's to push his punches instead of throwing them.

LOL, it has come to the point with many in this forum with Canelo that any fight that's competitive that's ruled in his favor you all will cry robbery.

 

Yall need to put the pipe down man.. I agree that some if those scores should be closer, but at the end of the day regardless of how they got the the actual decision was right.. GGG got beat down in the second fight, had a draw in the first, Lara ran and made it an ugly 50/50 fight 7-5 either way was the right call it ended up being a split win that's exactly that a 50/50 fight, Cotto lost like 9-3 so I dont get that argument.... the only real egregious thing is the Mayweather fight i had it 8-4 but him not getting a UD there was kind crazy... Jacobs doesn't have the chin anyway he's been dropped in almost every fight this decade, and canelo is one of the best combination counter punchers that boy is going to sleep late or will be dropped 2+times.
