I dont know how any true Boxing Fan could say Canelo got a Draw let alone won the First fight Golovkin won Convincingly and very easily....second Fight I admit was closer but my God the first fight decision was a blight on Boxing.!!!!.

I had it a draw. Don't know how anyone could have scored it for Alvarez tho. If anyone won it, it was Golovkin.
But the official judges ****ed it up. 118-112? What the actual ****?

Its cachet to look back on the first fight and say GGG won "easily" but thats just not true.
It was a close fought fight and if GGG had gotten the nod he would've only barely won it.

Canelo easily won the fist 3 and last 3 so a draw is fair. I don't think he won but i don't think GGG won either. Canelo is a rhythm boxer and GGG didn't/couldn't / wouldn't break his rhythm . He stayed within his own wheelhouse all night and never came out of it , even when Canelo had his back against the ropes.
A lot of guys wouldn't have let Canelo rest on the ropes like Golovkin did.

See ^ He stays at mid range and backs off when Canelo atacks.

Because thats what happens when Gennady enters Canelo's connect zone ^

Watch this. Slo mo shows that all the shots fanboys thought were landing were actually slipped , dodged and parried

The punch stats back up the footage shown as he missed 500 punches out of 700. Thats a huge number and shows how good Canelos defense and ring generalship was. Judges look on favourably on defense and accuracy.
Making GGG miss that many punches and outlanding him on power punches prove that it was in no way an " easy win " for Golovkin.

I thought it was a close fight had Canelo up by 1 round, could see it going either way to be honest and I was rooting for Golovkin.

Golovkin threw a lot but was missing a lot too, if you score the fight on aggression alone then yeah GGG won, but if you score it on actual effective aggression then it was a close fight.

    dear o dear

Jacobs is going kinda nuts about the judges isnt he? he really needs to forget about that before the fight and concentrate on his performance rather then focusing on the judges to me it seems Jacobs has already lost lol

Jacobs: “We will put pressure on the judges”

They may be in denial about the judging a lil bit.

Golden Boy have cartel money, Vegas mafia, banking interests and TV networks protecting them

Jacobs needs to go for the jugular and go for the kill against Canelo. He needs high high quality sparring and the ability to adjust on the fly.

That's what Jocobs has to worry about. Jacobs will have to K.O. Canelo to win the fight but it's extremely difficult. The latter has a granite chin.

Had it 8 to 4 Golovkin and I was being kind to Canelo....and I would say %90 of the People I have talked to involved in our Great Sport had Golovkin winning easily...I tend to agree with that opinion...I respect your opinion but I definitely don't agree....it was another very poor decision by Judges like I have said we see a lot of them in Boxing now day's and I for one will speak up if I see it.!!!!

Jacobs has to fight big and with the intention of stopping Canelo. Don't wait for him to punch. Jacobs is bigger. That does not mean get in a war, it means use the jab and after a couple of rounds land body punches and come up to the head. I think he will be successful.

I know my opinion is in the minority, I usually score with the majority but with Canelo/GGG 1 I honestly don't see what everyone is seeing to think Golovkin won easily like so many think he did.

Canelo basically dictated a good part of the fight. He usually chose when to back up and when to stand and trade, his ring generalship was superior and he chose where the fight was fought for much of the fight. Golovkin usually backs everyone to the ropes, but vs Canelo he was forced to box more and stand off because he couldn't dominate the exchanges like he usually does when an opponent trades with him. Canelo was even backing GGG up at times. Canelo kept much of the fight in the centre of the ring and when he did back up he usually chose too to get a breather not because GGG was forcing him too. Canelo simply for me looked far more in control of what was happening while Golovkin was reacting and that for me have Canelo more of the close rounds.

But Canelo didn't do enough I can see why some think he was out worked but not to the extent that you think Golovkin won comfortably. It was a close fight and could of gone either way.

The 2nd fight was different though, Canelo upped his work rate and for me clearly won 8 rounds, wasn't even hard to score the rematch, I'm even more flabbergasted that anyone thinks GGG won the rematch, because for me I thought he got dominated until Canelo's gas tank ran out.

Everyone that has gone the distance with Canelo has won every single round easily , but has been ripped of by corrupt promoters and judges in league with the devil. Never won a boxing math fairly in his life, even the knockouts were fake. Another Primo Cannera type situation.

We can breakdown fights if you wish..
But me personally I had ggg II 8-4(Alvarez)
Ggg I draw, Lara 7-5(Alvarez but Lara by same score is fine also)
    Cotto 9-3(Alvarez)
Trout 7-5(Alvarez this fight is tricky though with open scoring ruining the fight it was a close fight up until the knockdown but the judges had him so far ahead it seemed he let off the gas and made this fight closer in score than it was becoming in the ring
