I must concede Second match was much Closer...but the first fight after watching it a few times was definitely a win for Golovkin...Like i said Contraversial decisions are not new in Boxing lately but that one was a shocker.!!!
The honest truth is that most people, including many boxing journalists (who btw don't know boxing any more than your average forum lizard) don't know how to properly score a fight. Most of the time it is pretty straight forward, but you will always have those fights where rounds are close and you 100% have to factor Defense, Clean Punching, Ring generalship, and Effective aggression. I personally had the first fight 7-5 for Canelo. I can also see it 7-5 for GGG, or 8-4 either way as well. It was that close. I definitely gave GGG rounds 5-9, I can even give GGG 4-9, and I 100% gave Caneo rounds 1-3 and 10-12. That's at least a draw for GGG, which was the outcome either way. Anyone who says it was a robbery has an agenda or needs to rewatch it and score it without bias.
This is just not accurate and I can't fathom how you could watch that fight and arrive at this conclusion. If you want to say you scored the first fight for GGG, whatever...but to imply GGG won "easily and convincingly" is just not being intellectually honest.
This is spot on...I could see the first fight having varied scores because it was really close, which is why the draw was the best possible outcome. The 2nd fight...I thought Canelo won clearly as well.
The way I see it .....It's not the word of God just what I believe and a Large Majority of others who follow Boxing who believe it also.!!!
May I suggest you learn how to score a fight before berating others. you have moo rose colored glasses
C.J May I suggest you put up a Poll on here on what the many Very knowledgable Fan's and Ex People who have been involved with Boxing for many years think of the result of the first fight...If the Poll on the first fight goes in favour of Canelo I will concede and admit defeat.....but if the Poll goes in favour of Golovkin I expect Isal and his friends to do the same ...surely a Poll would settle this argument.....would do it myself but I am old School not sure how to do it.!!!
I whole heartedly believe GGG won both fights as the majority seem to do. A poll would prove that but the Canelo worshippers would still insist it was fixed. Its a shame for Canelo the way he has let Oscar rule his career. He is a good fighter but just not quite as good as GGG
GGG will never get a 100% fair fight against Canelo. Canelo's backers, the NSAC & Vegas boxing cannot afford to let him lose. The corruption is blatant they don't even try to hide it. Its all about $$$$$$$$$$$$
Corruption in Boxing has never been worse..the Golovkin V Canelo fight was only one of Many very Dodgy decisions we have seen over the past 20 years or more....but I do believe Oscar has taken it to a new level...bloody sad but when you see a percentage of so called Boxing Fan's accepting this type of thing and applauding it...it will never be eradicated from our Great Sport...the corruption going on in Boxing at the moment make Don King look Honest.!!!!
I agree completely. Today the State Commissions rule the sport & they seem to make the Mob & Mafia or the 50's look like choirboys. Its tragic that everyone EXPECTS there to be corruption. No one has a prayer of ever getting a decision win over Canelo in Vegas regardless how the fight goes
Watch Artorias’ video on the two fights and the punchstats, I trust him far more than some fat bloke who presses random buttons when fighter lands on the gloves
