It's a sad reality, but it happens. The massive underdog doesn't get destroyed, so he's looked upon as being more competitive than he actually was. Danny's stock went up after this fight largely because he "ended" Golovkin's KO streak.

GG won. Stop making excuses for the winner. Only diehard GG fans think that his performance was perfect when even he gave Jacobs credit. Hard fights happen and you don't always get the ko. Judges judge fights and the judges got this one correct.

I agree to a certain extent, plus hes American...He couldn't beat ggg with every single advantage available...The weight made me think Jacobs was a **** though..That was underhand

He missed the weigh in for the IBF...so he was already putting weight back on while GGG was trying to make weight for the belt.. Sly tactics. Some people have no honour

And for that, the IBF wasn't on the line.
I also don't think GGG ha to cut hard to make 170 the next day.

Because he "arguably" won the fight. He was far more than just
"competitive". The only thing that worked for Golovkin the entire
night was his jab (which I admit was quite respectable). But everything
Golovkin landed that was perceived big, Danny took back momentum and
fired multiple. That's why those compubox numbers are very suspect.

Wow thanks for the clarity as I thought they were scoring the action in the ring and not the bookies odds.

I'm not. I thought Golovkin clearly won. With no controversy.

No, Jacobs did NOT arguably win. Jacobs was hurt multiple times and knocked down once. Jacobs was on the backfoot while Golovkin pressed the action. Jacobs was given Tranny Eyes. Golovkin barely had a mark on his face.

    1. Golovkin is a harder puncher and this is boxing. People get hurt.
    2. Just because you move forward doesn't mean you automatically
gets points over a fighter that fights off the backfoot. Golovkin was
made to look like a simple plodder at times.
    3. someone having "Tranny eyes" makes no sense and isn't even worthy of a response.
    4. not having a mark on your face doesn't mean you weren't hit.

You literally didn't prove your point.

Your description of the fight doesn't coincide with the reality of what happened.

    1) This is boxing and Jacobs is a hard puncher. If he had landed frequently, he would have marked up Golovkin's face more than it was. Common sense.

    2) TRUE (mostly). However, you cannot entirely discount the work of the guy who is creating the action and pressing forward and landing shots.

    3) Both of Jacobs eyes were badly swollen, hence why he wore sunglasses to the post fight presser. He took way more damage than he was able to dish out.

    4) This is boxing and Jacobs is a hard puncher. If he had landed frequently, he would have marked up Golovkin's face more than it was. Common sense.

Golovkin has been more marked up in other fights. Jacobs didn't hit him hard enough or frequently enough to register facial damage.
