Jacobs' head ruined GGG's jabbing hand. It'll never be the same after that kind of sustained beating.

He gave him a tough competive fight that went the distance,you need a re think on what a beating is cause Jacobs eyes were all puffed up at the end whilst GGG never needed the sunglasses routine at the presser,only one guy was knocked down and buzzed a few times and it wasn't Golovkin.

 

Lol thought you were serious for a minute,if I had one thing I thought he lacked it was the follow up left n right to the body,strange to see him holding back if that was the case?

 

I agree 100%. I never thought I'd see a Golovkin fight where the left hook to the body wasn't a focal point of the offense. Things just seemed too relaxed for my taste with GGG and his corner. Patience is a great thing in boxing, but the atmosphere kinda crossed over to complacency and apathy for me last night.

I gave him a pass on the Brook fight because I could understand why he wasn't that concerned, but to be that reserved vs Danny Jacobs was really playing with fire. He did enough to win a close but clear fight, but it wasn't up to his usual standards (which is what people saying robbery are really punishing him for), but the biggest red flag I come away with is that it felt lile nobody on his team particularly cared, and they treated this almost as if it were a sparring session.
