Sad for a good fight on paper. Understandable, however. If you are making a vacation trip around one or two fight cards a year... would this be close to the top?

 

Don't know what the undercard was like, Sky just gave us the main event, but what a fight that was. Anyone lucky enough to be in there got their moneys worth and then some.

 

It was held at MSG's much smaller Hulu Theater, which seats only about 5k fans. They weren't expecting to get much more than they did. Under the circumstances, I thought the crowd was fine. Loma/Rigondeaux was there, too, as I recall.

 

Well, the Hulu Theater at MSG seats about 5,600.
Btw, there were a ton of tickets available, so they must have comped quite a few to get 4,900 to attend. Or the last minute sales were off the hook!

 

Most of this is Eddie Hearn's fault. He totally neglects and insults the demographics that would go to a Jacob's fight and nobody cares about eastern europeans in the US. That's why HBO boxing failed betting on the wrong horses. Hearns US operations has been a failure.

 

Then the ratio of real boxing fans to fanboys is like 5% to 95%. Peak ratings always occur right after the main event ends and people arriving late only to watch the main even at the venue supports this. Not all the fan's fault, they are conditioned to only expect the main event to be competitive. There's so many problems with Boxing that could be fixed but there's not enough hardcore boxing fans to fill in the gaps, so even the money isn't right to get the competitive contender clashes that they want.

 

Na we had the three fights on sky. The womens fight was entertaining. The super featherweight champion looks like a beast and then the main event. Was a good triple header.

 

Maybe my recording screwed up then? It just went straight into the main event then that was it?

Not bothered because with the Ryder Sirotkin card and Fury Pulev I was boxed out anyway.

 

Small venue. Most seats were taken and it was a good crowd.

 

Lol and since GGG is a much bigger draw than Jacobs, or Loma than rigo and so on proves people care about brothers even less than they do about EE’s.
Any brother or EE need a hispanic oponent to make fight relevant.
