When Jacobs said in his post fight interview in the ring that he thought he deserved to get the win, I gave him a pass considering he gave a great account of himself in a close fight, also straight after a fight a boxer will be all amped up and not cool headed - fair enough. Pac did likewise after Floyd UD'd him. However, Danny has been quoted today still singing the same tune, repeating his ridiculous claim that because Golovkin/Canelo is a big money fight, he was robbed so the mega-fight wasn't jeopardised. Danny Jacobs really won me over as a fan on saturday with his gutsy, impressive performance but this sour grapes behaviour really turns me off similar to what Pacquiao was saying even months after his loss to Floyd. Man up and accept the 'L' Danny, you are better than this.
Honestly, Jacobs knew he lost but he also knew he did a great job. It's entirely too convenient for him not to say he was robbed. But I agree it is ridiculous. This is a fight where a majority saw Golovkin the winner.
Pacquiao DID beat Floyd. Pacquiao hurt Floyd 2X and landed the more telling blows. All Floyd did was land glancing jabs and clinch whenever Pacquiao got close.
I rarely kick boxers for continuing to claim they won, when they lost. It's the fighter's mentality talking, that's all - I think to step into the ring with confidence, top level boxers need to convince themselves, on a given day, no other man should be able beat them, so accepting a loss is tough to take. And he wants to do all he can to get a rematch and stay relevant to the elite name in his division. Who knows what he really thinks when he looks in the mirror, but it's merely days later after a hard fight and camp. Cut the man some slack...
How is this remotely close to Pacquaio vs Floyd? That decision was not up for dispute with any serious fan. With Jacobs he has a case for thinking he won.
Looool he's output dropped to the lowest of his career, you think buzzing someone means you one a fight?
There were precisely TWO meaningful sequences of action in the fight and both belonged to Pacquiao. Both times, Pacquiao countered Floid's jab and rocked him. Both men didn't really do jack, but Pacquiao was tit for tat with Floid. Floid landed his infrequent glancing blows in the form of touch jabs and tied up Pacquiao as much as possible. Pacquiao landed his infrequent power shots to both the head and body. The judges (whom I'm sure were paid off) favored flash over substance.
Your a real die hard PAC fan, I can't believe you still think Pacquaio one looool. I had money on Pacquaio and even I could only give PAC 4 rounds at the most.
Manny Pedquiao has always been a sore loser, he never accepts defeats, he even tried making excuses after the Marquez 4th fight. FFS LOL. He was knocked out so hard he shat himself in the ring. You could see his stained pants.
He does for sure, but his too invested into his favourite fighter. I don't understand what is wrong with admitting you was wrong none of us are infallible.
