Or that GGG did year round VADA while Jacobs only started 5 weeks before the fight and some insiders claim he was not tested once. Just like the Alvarez fight.

 

Jacobs actually fought fairly poorly in my opinion. He was far too timid. Let a shorter man out jab, and outwork him. Was too afraid to stand in and try and counter.

 

I can see how people scored the fight close.. I still have it clear for GGG.. As far as 9 to 3 or whatever the f**k for Jacobs is pure Nuthugging for Miracle Man or hate for GGG lol

 

Yes and so proved as that loss to Golovkin has done his career no harm whatsoever infact it’s actually enhanced his career as before that fight everyone believed him to have a glass chin on account of his KO loss to the Russian guy(can’t remember his name)and getting tagged by Mora.
Crazy though the standards that folk hold Golovkin to in that he fought the divisions second best and for the first time in years won over twelve rounds.

I remember being scared for Golovkin as he was waiting the decision,I thought GGG had done enough as the champion in what was a close,competitive fight and with the knock down in round four for me that was what proved decisive and imo the judges got it spot on with just a few rounds in it.
Funny though it started with Brook who got credit for getting his face broken and then Jacobs gets credit for not getting knocked out despite on the night looking nothing like a middleweight.
And then same thing re Canelo who I thought was brilliant that night and yet still came up short on most people’s views,Paulie M said it best I thought about how with Canelo his fans,Commentators and judges go way above and beyond in looking for reasons to give him rounds,Paulie said you’ll always find something if you look hard enough which I though was spot on actually.

 

Absolutely he was as Golovkin had a healthy respect for Jacobs power that night and who knows if Jacobs had of stood up to him he could of well knocked Golovkin out.
There’s a good vid on YouTube that shows it in slow mo and some of the flashier work that was Jacobs was only hitting arms,gloves of GGG,case of looking good without causing any damage.
As predicted Golovkin took more damage off Canelo than Jacobs,there’s barely a mark on him after the Jacobs fight,the relief on Jacobs face after going twelve rounds showed to me that he was more than happy to get through it and be competitive as appose to someone who really believed he was there to cause an upset.
