What the **** are you on about? I agree that the mando split should be the mando split. If I didn't object to Wilder Povetkin being split 75/25 following a purse bid then I don't see how I could Golovkin Jacobs and I don't. I'm being consistent in my position. The people I'm criticising are not.

Agreed. That's a terrible thing to say. Totally unnecessary.

Then you take the organisations too seriously imo.

I think the fight should be made whatever the compromise. If Jacobs doesn't want it he should drop his belt and stop pretending to be a champ.

If Golovkin decided to agree to a 50-50 with Jacobs, would you be happy about that?

I'm not sure who the poster is, I've not conversed with him to my knowledge.

But that is a sick thing he said.

The rules are the rules. Now personally, I don't give a **** about who gets what. It doesn't affect me in any way so who gives a ****? So if Golovkin wanted to offer him 50/50 then all good with me. What I will say is that I totally understand why he wouldn't and I don't think he should be criticised for holding his position.

I agree. I don't feel strongly enough about it to defend him though. He's big enough to look after himself.

Could he do more to make the fight, certainly, but the onus is on Jacob to accept terms.

Jacobs clearly doesn't want it imo.

Ja. Hence why I'm **** Jacobs on this. Especially as he's at least carrying legit power and provides another chin check for an ageing Golovkin. It'd been great for the division if he could have had some success/sprung an upset.

lol I had exactly 16, here

Boxers that ducked/ducking GGG, fyi all of these are/were world champs.

    1. Sturm --- wouldn't fight him for over 2 years when GGG was mandatory to him.

    2. Quillin --- said he will only fight for the may-pac kind of money, lol + he flew to Haymon to avoid GGG

    3. Martinez --- "His promoter said that "no way I am putting him with this monster", GGG kept calling him out after his U.S. debut after every fight

    4. Cotto --- ducked his mandatory(GGG) twice by fighting Geale and Canelo

    5. Chavez jr --- Turned down 12mil offer by TR

    6. Canela --- Avoided his mando(GGG). Thinks that he is fighting at the weight-class of 155, as there is no such thing as a "155 weight-class" ,he is pretending to be not in the MW division because of GGG. There are 17 divisions just pick one, if you can't make 154 then you are a MW, simple. And then he dropped the belt when he had to fight GGG next, wow

    7. Froch --- After calling GGG out then when GGG accepted ,he backed down and now he is retired after making all the fuss, + GGG was calling him for more than a year b4 he was retired so no excuses for "retiring". Carl said in a SkySports interview he will swerve GGG like the plague, he punches like a mule and there's no point getting in the ring with someone like him.

    8. Ward --- The diva of the 168lb division don't want to travel or meet the a-side GGG in a catchweight so he can become a good boy and get ktfo. Was willing to goto 160 for Floyd but when GGG said 164, Ward ducked + he was fine when Dawson came down a whole division for him but wont move half a division for GGG, smh

    9. Saunders --- Even before winning the WBO title from Lee his fear of Golovkin was as biright as day this is just one of many interviews(
    This content is protected
), then after winning it he priced himslef out at 6 mil$. Then turned down $3.2mill offer from k-2(its 2.2 gbp)

    10. Eubank jr --- Very similar to Froch's duck of GGG, after calling GGG out he lost his pen when he had to sign

    11. Jacobs --- asked for a life changing money and then said he need 18 months , lol gtfoh. now finally "called out" GGG then when time came to sign, "crickets"

    12. Njikam --- When Hassaan was WBO champ, he was ordered to a purse bid to face Golovkin no less than two times and he was a no show each time.

    13. Barker --- When Barker defeated Geale to become IBF champ, his promoter openly said that he will fight any1 except GGG, Golovkin offered to fight him in England practically free, his only demand was for them to give Team Golovkin 10 FREE tickets, Barker ducked.

    14. Mundine --- Another blatant ducker, google it.

    15. Soliman --- Soliman won the IBF title in 2014 from Sturm, immedietly after winning the title he called out GGG, then GGG fought his countryman Geale. He saw the fight and changed his mind stating he will NOT fight GGG after what he saw.

    16. Zbik --- Just like sturm, protected by Universum.

    Still missing some.

Sugar you do know Wilder vs Povetkin purse split was amended 90% of the purse would be split 70/30 in Wilder's favour with the remaining 10% going to the winner?

Povetkin was guaranteed 27%, but had the potential to get 37%

Jacobs getting 25% is a joke considering most of GGGs world title defense were with the same belt and GGG didn't even beat the superchamp and didn't even fight for it he was just elevated.

If we just use the WBC/WBA rankings as a guide and don't take into account popularity of fighters then Jacobs had a higher standing then Povetkin because he was a world champion and Povetkin only had a silver belt, so Jacobs deserves a better split.

Not sure I'd include Ward in there but the rest are all beaten men without even stepping in the ring.
I didn't like the Brook fight but fair play he showed a lot of middleweights up that night by just stepping in the ring and like Paulie M said you can't knock someone when his opponents in his own weight class won't go near him,Roy Jones said the same thing and no amount of danger money is gonna make em fight him until he shows he's aged some,he's a good boy but in the ring he shows such sweet violence and appears to enjoy a little too much for his would be opponenents?

Yeah I think I'd have to agree with that,is that the reason why it's been called off,I mean Loeffler could have said we go for the purse bid but that would of been 75/25 right?
No idea what's gone on but it sounds like Loefller would give him a higher split or am I way out here?

I didn't know that about the winner getting extra. Source?

Jacobs is no more a world champion than Povetkin was when he fought Wlad and he got the mando split. I'm always amused when people think mandos should be better compensated for holding one of these BS belts.

Daniel Jacobs made $1.5 million to fight Peter Quillin - who he destroyed in less than 90 seconds.

I'm not sure where you got the $1.9 million figure from, but you'd figure his purse for the Golovkin fight should be worth A LOT more than the Quillin fight was.

It's a much bigger fight after all.

Kell Brook got $5 million guaranteed (and a share of the PPV in England) to face Golovkin. He wasn't even a middleweight.
