Jacobs isn't any bigger than Golovkin is. GGG has no problems with his size.

Given Golovkin is 165.1 at 30 days, i doubt he will be anywhere near 170. I believe Jacobs will come in over 170 as usual and have a weight advantage.

You can address and quote what I actually wrote on Post #7 or argue with yourself. The choice is yours.

Chavez Jr was bigger because he hydrates to 180 plus and Lee is usually under 170 and it was obvious there was at least 15 pounds between them in the fight. What they did after the fight has no bearing.

Can you refer to any post in this thread where I stated "height" alone is a determination of size?

Arm length, height advantage doesn't necessarily equate to being 'bigger' than your opponent. GGG is clearly the more robust of the two.

Either way. Size will not be a factor here, both a good sized MW's.

The problem with that is nobody is arguing height and reach alone as a determination of size, it's a moot point.

The perception of one fighter being more Robust isn't a determination of size either. If the other man is taller and heavier, he is still bigger.

Fair enough. Misinterpreted the argument based on what I saw. I agree, robustness isn't a clear determiner of size either. Not really aware of Jacobs walk around weight and what he rehydrates to on fight night. Anyone here know?

I disagree. Size is always a factor. Given 30 day weigh ins are usually a decent indicator of hydration weight, Jacobs is not only going to be taller and reachier but likely a bit heavier. Just because Golovkin is a great fighter that can overcome discrepancies doesn't mean size isn't a factor. It's going to effect his strategy.

Quite a few guys put in effort against Golovkin, they were just blown out. Curtis put up a lot of effort,
his style of catch and counter just couldn't deal with a hitter like Golovkin, he caught too much and
was worn down to nothing. So did the guy that Golovkin fought in his first fight on HBO, he just got
    blown out as well.

Trying to remember if Quillin and Jacobs weights were broadcast, I recall Quillin was over 180 in that fight, can't recall Jacob's weight but there was concern he was too small. Likely 170 again.

Watch the vice documentary on Jacobs on YouTube.
He was like 168 four days before Fletcher weigh in and sweating like a pig.
    Man is a big mw.
