Jacobs was huge at the fight night. He had the team behind him for doing that - Conte etc. And that is pro boxing. Nothing wrong with that if you can pull it off.

..,but he didn´t make the IBF weight so that should tell you how big he was, TOO BIG for fighting IBF belt at 160. And that is a fact. In all honesty, I would have done the same thing if I had been his shoes. Going to distance against Golovkin is a great achievement.

Unfortunately he can´t do that for the next 2-3 years because he body is getting older and he couldn´t have been any bigger than what we saw last night. He was enormous - reminded me of Kelly Pavlik. And in Pavlik case it got eventually too difficult to cut weight. Even Eubank Jr fights at 168 nowdays and Eubank jr is not as big as Jacobs.

If Jacobs continues to compete at 160, I expect him fight one fight a year against top 10-20 rated fighters. Jacobs should move to 168 sooner than later IMO. He could still be a top fighter at 168 (He has a good chance against Dirrell, Groves, Abraham).

Except posters did have sh*t to say about the WW fight. But that doesn't matter, because Brook agreed to the weight limit, and was still heavier then 3G by a few pounds.

Jacobs clearly had no intention of fighting for the IBF belt. I just prefer they had made that clear from the get go, not on fight night.
