what a fight 2 of the best at 160 going for war. Jacobs needs to put the pressure early straight from the opening bell land his monster shots.....
I think I agree. Turn it into a crapshoot and hope for the power to equalize. Jacobs is a good boxer but I don't think he has the constitution for a long fight with GGG.
I think its a real good match up and wouldnt be shocked if Jacobs won. I think if Jacobs moves and boxes he could possibly pull out the win. Jacobs also has KO power
There is a chance but if Jacobs did win I have to admit I would be shocked. Not saying he wont give a good account of himself , as I do rate the guy , but I think GGG is just a step to far...I wish him luck & hope his health remains good on ALL fronts.
Jacobs cannot outbox GGG. He cannot play the long game and try to move and counter all night w. his long reach and then try to take him out late - it won't work because GGG will be breaking him down and sap all his will. He needs to come like a bat out of hell and attempt to end this thing early JUST LIKE LEMIEUX did last night. Same mentality Hagler took to Hearns. He'll either be victorious or go out on his shield like Stevens last night - no shame in that.
GGG will jab Jacob's in the first 3 rounds. He will also be more defensive than any other fight. I think Jacob's comes out stronger in the beginning.
Yeah totally agree infact RJJ been saying this for a while about GGGs apponents cause like you said they ain't gonna win rounds off him so only hope is to get in his face,I rather think that's what Jacobs should do as he did with Quillin but I think he will be cautious
Not sure how Jacobs wins this. He may have moments / flashes of success but will be caught clean and with enough consistency to end the fight. Jacobs does need to start fast, gain momentum and try to build on the success. He just doesn't have the tools against Golovkin.
£20 down on Jacobs decision. These odds are out of whack...sure GGG is favourite but not as much as the current odds have him...
I think realistically for Jacobs to win, he needs to fight nothing like he has before in previous fights. He'd have to get Ggg in a jabbing match and make it into a jab and clinch, Ward style affair. Jacobs is also an underrated body puncher, no one has punished Ggg to the body yet, but Jacobs has to slow him down at one point or he'll get steamrolled. He'd need to fight very smart and not get into a slug match, needs to wear Ggg down, NOT knock him out, he has a titanium chin ffs. Cut up and bruise up Ggg and go the distance because all those things you usually don't see in a typical Ggg fight. Win or lose, the public will demand a rematch if Jacobs gets robbed. His stock would go up and he'd probably face the Ggg-Canelo winner.
Jacobs will have no clue what to do. He fights one way and has never made an adjustment in any of his fights. His way to prepare for this fight was to put off drug testing as long as possible while knowing GGG was being VADA tested. He will probably also get a ref to protect him as much as possible.
i dont think this fight goes past 6 rds. the only evidence i have seen that jacobs is on this level, since his schooling at the hands of pirog, was his destruction of quillin... and that was just a one rd shoot out. jacobs is a sucker for the right coming over top of his jab, and thats going to get him smashed vs ggg. if you can get floored by a latin snake, a dragon is gonna ghost you.
