No it's not he outlanded him in power punches and landed most of the flashy attention getting punches. GGG did most of his best work with his jab.
PBF hit people and didn't take much damage in return while wining rounds and being the ring general fully in control of the fight.
Quadruple Standards!!! If you don't stand still and let my favorite fighter punch you, you are a runner. If you can't catch my favorite fighter and hit him, you are a bum. If my favorite fighter can't get the KO it's because you cheated. If that guy KOs my favorite fighter it's because he cheated.
When Loma starts fighting bigger guys and he notices that power won't carry and he begins to "run" ,what will these "affective aggression" snobs do then? They will immediately become Mayweather jock riders. "Oh, Floyd did it why not ( insert EE fighter here)". "Floyd wanted a 80/20 split why not ( insert EE fighter here)." "(Insert EE fighter here) was controlling the fight on the back foot, just like Floyd use to." Watch and see.
In regards to some posters, I'm not doubting Jacobs landed some power shots. Mayweather also lands some good punches in fights, this is nothing to do with Mayweather at all in the first place and not totally about Jacobs. If you listen in between rounds Jacobs trainer told him just touch him and move. Literally that came out of his mouth, so that was the gameplan coming in. I thought Jacobs landed some solid shots but his trainer recommended a tactical style that leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
People often though quote the hit and not get hit, but conveniently leave out "and be in position to hit again".
Yes, but when it occurs that the fighter in question is getting hit, maybe slightly less than his/her opponent, but the quality of the hitting is less because the person is constantly retreating, or throwing slapping punches for the purpose of being apart from a traditional interaction, well, that fighter is going to be penalized in the minds of the judges.
